Peer Observation in Facilitating Teacher Professional Development: A Study of EFL Novice and Experienced Teachers Perceptions

Novice and Experienced English Teachers are inevitably confronted with a must to be qualified professional teacher. This is particularly relevant in Indonesia, where teachers graduates of Education departments has challenged teach not only language, but also culture should have preparation for their duties as teachers. Peer observation the potential facilitate develop teacher development, those who EFL navigating challenging elements teaching practice. For this reason, qualitative study explored 10 participants’ perceptions peer an aid growth. Data were garnered from questionnaires in-depth interview. The findings suggest that understanding opportunity them learn each other improve quality construct identity. Then, participants talk about experiences doing observation, which (ET) more confidence than (NT). Further, both ET NT need negotiate issues solve problems.
